MMolar

A Letter
from our Founder

Hi there!

Molar Inc. was built around a simple belief: technology should help dental teams spend more time caring for patients and less time fighting software.

I'm incredibly proud to introduce you to what we're building. Molar Inc. is a dental technology company creating a family of products that work together as one, designed to improve the entire operating reality of running a dental practice.

Here's a bit about why this exists, and why it matters to how we build.

Dentistry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up around my uncle's dental office in the Philippines, a small two-chair clinic connected to his home, where I watched him care for patient after patient with tireless dedication. That connection deepened when my wife became a dentist. Through her, I saw the profession from the inside again: the artistry, the care, and the daily friction that outdated technology creates.

The owners of the practice where she works became some of our closest friends, and through them I saw what it really takes to run dental offices well. For years, I managed their servers, networks, and systems on a volunteer basis. It was deeply fulfilling to know I was helping enable great patient care, but it also showed me something bigger than I expected: the technology-related friction wasn't in any one place. It was everywhere a practice operates.

The software was dated and fragmented. The technology infrastructure was a constant burden. Patients had no simple way to handle billing or stay connected to the practices that cared for them. Every problem required another vendor, another contract, another integration, and another system to manage.

So I didn't set out to build one product.

I founded Molar Inc. to fix all of it.

For the past several years, I've invested my own time, energy, and resources into making that vision real.

That's why we're building four products that work together as one. Molar helps practices run their day-to-day operations. Accelerant takes IT and infrastructure off your plate so technology stops pulling people away from patients. Umbrella modernizes patient payments and membership plans. Plexus connects practices with the vendors and services they rely on, all in one place.

But this letter is about Molar, because Molar is where it starts.

Molar is a cloud-based dental operations platform designed to run the day-to-day of your practice in one place: scheduling, charting, imaging, treatment planning, insurance verification, claims, ERAs, patient communication, and much more. One system. One source of truth. Built for how a modern dental office actually works, whether you're a single location or a growing group.

Most practice software was built a decade or more ago, and it shows. Offices are often forced to stitch together a practice management system, imaging software, a clearinghouse, a phone system, patient messaging tools, online forms, and reporting platforms. Teams lose hours every week working around the seams between those systems.

Molar replaces that patchwork with a single platform your entire team can work from, so less of the day is spent managing software and more of it is spent caring for patients.

Just as importantly, we're not only building for dentists, we're building with dentists.

We're still early, and that's intentional. Rather than disappearing for years and emerging with a finished product, we're building alongside a small group of founding partner practices. They have direct access to our team, meaningful influence over our roadmap, and pricing that reflects the trust of coming in early.

Some of the most important features in Molar today exist because a doctor, office manager, front desk team member, or dental biller told us exactly what they needed. That collaboration is one of our greatest strengths.

I'm not going to tell you Molar is finished, because it isn't.

What I will tell you is that we're building it to become the best platform in dentistry.

And I'm not asking you to take my word for it.

I want you to see it, push on it, and tell me where it falls short. That's exactly how the best version of Molar gets built.

Come build it with us.

Warmest regards,

Naren
